I've burned my eyes on the summer time skies, along a country mile.
I've drown my pain in the winter rain, and the sweetness of a smile.
I've been possessed...or maybe just blessed... by the dreams i can't define.
Can't you see there's a light in me, and i've got to let it shine.
I've been thru the fire, and down-to-the-wire, just trying to make my way.
I've soared as high as the wild birds fly, but i still came down the same.
